Man stabbed during robbery attempt

A 27-year-old man is recovering after being stabbed in a Saturday night attempted robbery.

Authorities said the victim was walking on Beaman Street when he was struck from behind. There were three assailants in the attack, but the victim only got a description of one of the men — a 6-foot tall black man, weighing about 180 pounds.

The victim was treated and released at Nash General Hospital for severe lacerations.
