A Nashville man was arrested Sunday morning after becoming irate when he was refused entry to a local bar.

Gator’s Sports Pub owner Lee Long said staff refused to let Lennon Fay Reaves Jr., 27, into the bar on Jeffreys Road Sunday morning because he was too intoxicated.

“I asked him politely to leave, but he wouldn’t and he kept trying to sneak in,” Long said. “I confronted him and asked him to leave the property and never come back.”

Rocky Mount police officers were nearby and interceded in the disturbance. Reaves was searched and taken into custody after officers said they found a loaded .25-caliber handgun on the suspect.

Reaves was charged with misdemeanor counts of carrying a concealed weapon, second-degree trespassing, communicating threats and a violation of a protection order. He was jailed in Edgecombe County under a $3,000 secured bond.
