A 32-year-old woman was arrested Friday night in connection with an alleged knife fight.

Tanika Dawn Bailey was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. She was jailed in Nash County under a $10,000 secured bond.

Police said officers responded around 8 p.m. to a disturbance at a house on the 700 block of Hammond Street where a 27-year-old man was found with a cut on his leg. The victim was taken to Nash General Hospital for treatment.

According to police reports, the suspect and victim, who are acquaintances, got into an argument when the suspect armed herself with a kitchen knife and cut the victim.
