A homeless shelter resident was charged Tuesday morning in connection with charging nearly $70 to an acquaintance’s credit card.

Police said a 37-year-old Goldsboro man called police in February to report $69.61 had been charged with his credit card without authorization. Investigators tracked the charge to an acquaintance of the victim, Oliver Lavell Robinson.

Robinson, 21, was charged with felony obtaining property by false pretenses. The suspect was jailed in Nash County under a $1,000 secured bond.
