Rocky Mount police apprehended a Clinton man Thursday who was one of five suspects charged in connection with a Sept. 1 assault on a man. Officials still are searching for the fifth suspect, 41-year-old Lazenevou Jean Bastien.
Orenthal James McIntyre, 32, was charged with attempted first degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, inflicting serious injury. He also was served with outstanding warrants from Duplin County and jailed in Nash County under a $20,000 secured bond.
