The Rocky Mount Police Department issued the following e-policing report on Tuesday, Nov. 29.

Residential Breaking and Entering Cases Occurred at:

517 S. Vyne St.

224 Amos St.

782 Tiffany Blvd.

 

Commercial Breaking and Entering Cases Occurred at:

2321 N. Wesleyan Blvd. - LCH Modular Building Systems

 

Vehicle Breaking and Entering Cases Occurred at:

651 N. Winstead Ave. - Double Tree Parking Lot - suspect vehicle was described as a tan, Ford F150 extended cab pick up truck with a silver tool box; dark tinted windows; suspect is a heavy set male

11/28/11 @ 1901 hours

Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon

1100 N. Wesleyan Blvd. - Golden East Mall parking lot (between Best Buy and Belk’s)

Victim: Male, age 27

Suspect: Two unknown black males, approximately 6’0”; suspect one described as approx. 140 lbs., dreadlocks hairstyle, wearing black clothing; suspect two described as wearing all black clothing; operating a grey Nissan Altima

The victim alleged that at approx. 1800 hours, two unknown suspects approached him in the parking lot, brandished handguns and demanded money and property. The victim complied and the suspects fled the scene on a grey Nissan Altima traveling south on N. Wesleyan Blvd. The victim waited approximately one hour from the time of the incident to contact the police department. No injuries reported. Suspicious Fire

316 Estell St.

Suspects: Unknown

Unknown persons were observed on a stage. Shortly afterwards, a small fire was observed and the subjects fled on a blue van. RMFD responded and extinguished the fire. Damage occurred to a bale of hay and the stage. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Assault Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury

3334 Bishop Rd.

Victim: Male, age 18

Suspect: Javonte Levon Jones, age 19

The victim alleged an assault occurred at the Rocky Mount Preparatory School on 11/22/11 in the cafeteria. The victim stated the suspect assaulted the victim in the face, resulting in severe facial injuries. The victim was treated at Nash General Hospital and later at Pitt Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. A warrant was obtained on 11/28/11 for Javonte Jones for assault inflicting serious bodily injury. The warrant has not been served at the time of this report. Both the victim and suspect are students at Rocky Mount Preparatory School.

Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon/1st Degree Burglary

224 Amos St.

Victims: Female, age 32,

Suspect: Five unknown black males wearing black/dark clothing and toboggans; suspects wore bandanas over their faces; suspect one described as approx. 5 ft. 10 in. - 6 ft., 200-230 lbs.,

Five unknown suspects opened the victim’s unlocked screen door and entered her residence brandishing handguns. One suspect pulled the victim to the floor while the other suspects demanded money and property. the victim complied. The suspects left the residence on foot. Two juvenile children were inside the residence at the time of the incident and did not encounter the suspects. No injuries were reported.
