A school counselor and her pastor husband were arrested by Rocky Mount police Wednesday night in connection with a domestic dispute.
Authorities said officers responded shortly after 10 p.m. to a dispute at the couple’s home on the 1600 block of Winterberry Drive. According to police reports, the couple got into an argument where a perfume bottle was thrown and both individuals had cuts on their arms.
Tara Thomas, 36, and Terence Lee Thomas, 38, were charged with simple assault and jailed in Nash County without bond. The 36-year-old woman works as a counselor at Rocky Mount High School and her husband works as a pastor at Saint Mark African Methodist Episcopal church.
