Edgecombe County deputies arrested three suspects in connection with a Sunday night armed robbery and are searching for the fourth suspect.
According to a press release, several victims went to an acquaintance’s house on the 11200 block of U.S. 258 South near Crisp. Authorities said when the victims arrived, four suspects approached them and demanded money at gunpoint. When the victim contacted a friend under the guise of getting the money, the friend realized the victim was in trouble and contacted deputies.
Authorities said three suspects fled to the woods and Samuel Walston fled into the house.
Watson, 25, James Albert Travon Jenkins Jr., 23, and Casey Wayne Allen, 35, were charged with five counts of kidnapping and one count each of attempted armed robbery and resist, obstruct and delay. They were jailed in Edgecombe County under $200,000 secured bonds.
Deputies have warrants pending against Jermaine Jenkins, 17, of Pinetops. Anyone with information on Jenkins’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 641-7911.
