A Rocky Mount man is hospitalized following a Saturday morning shooting.
Authorities said the shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. on the 400 block of Sled Court where a 27-year-old man said he was walking when he was approached by three gunmen who started firing at him. The victim escaped to a nearby home then was taken to Nash General Hospital before being transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, where is listed in stable condition.
One suspect is described as a 5-foot-10 black man with a dark complexion, weighing about 175 pounds and wearing a white shirt. A second suspect is described as a 5-foot-9 black man with a dark complexion, weighing about 180 pounds and wearing a red shirt. The third suspect is described as a 5-foot-10 black man with a light complexion, weighing about 180 pounds and wearing a red sweatshirt.
