A 24-year-old man was charged Sunday after allegedly causing more than $10,000 in damage to a HVAC system at Hydraulic Specialty, 3004 Church St.

According to police reports, Antonio Devon Lynch attempted to remove the system on Sunday morning and damaged it in the process.

Lynch was charged with felony attempted larceny, felony possession of burglary tools and misdemeanor injury to real property. He was jailed in Nash County under a $12,500 secured bond.

Lynch has several prior convictions for felony possession stolen goods and misdemeanor larceny.
