A 34-year-old man is listed in stable condition after a Wednesday night assault.

Police said the victim got into an argument with an unknown man, but it turned physical and the suspect repeatedly kicked the victim in the head. The victim was taken to Nash General Hospital and flown to Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.

The suspect is described as a black man, between 20 and 30 years old, wearing dark clothing and a red and black hat. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 977-1111 or crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.
