A Rocky Mount parent said he is outraged by how his daughter’s bus driver reacted after someone apparently fired a pellet gun at the vehicle.
It is unclear, though, if the bus driver broke protocol in his handling of the incident.
School officials declined to comment on the incident, which was reported to police around 3:57 p.m.
Andrew Cooper said his six-year-old daughter was riding the bus home from Williford Elementary School on Wednesday afternoon, when a pellet struck the bus windows. The incident took place on the 2400 block of Church Street.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident, authorities said.
