Land owners drop appeal of last poultry plant lawsuit

Attorneys for Nash County landowners Carson Barnes and Clay Strickland on Wednesday withdrew their appeal in a lawsuit they filed challenging Nash County’s purchase of a tract of land along N.C. 97 that would have been used for a Sanderson Farms chicken processing plant.
