I really like the letter to the editor about the small churches facing challenges by Gene Jackson.

Another reason some of the small churches are suffering is some of them only have 50-60 members and ministers who come in try to take over and make rules for the church as if they are a big church.

Sometimes they also bring in two ministers for these small churches with a small amount of members.

They also give a lot to mission, which is very important, but you can’t give $500-$600 per month to mission when you only have 50-60 members in your church.

All this is going on while the people in the church don’t have a vote anymore on what is going on in the church.

It is all decided by the deacons and the elders and I think that is a big problem in the smaller churches.
