The United Way Tar River Region’s 2013-14 fundraising campaign is underway, and we’re encouraging the entire community to get involved.
We need to work together to meet the growing needs in our community.
This year’s goal of $1.3 million is even more ambitious than last year’s goal of $1.2 million, but we’re confident our community can reach it. The funding United Way raises helps support many different programs and organizations in our community, so giving to United Way is a great way to maximize the impact of your donation.
The United Way Tar River Region provides funding for 22 partner agencies and more than 35 health and human services programs in the Twin Counties area. Those programs and organizations, such as The Salvation Army, My Sister’s House and United Community Ministries, work to help people in need and to make our community a better place for everyone. They provide critical services, such as assistance for victims of domestic violence and emergency food and shelter for people in need.
United Way has set goals for improving education, helping people achieve financial stability and promoting healthy lives – goals that affect everyone and deserve our attention and support.
By supporting the United Way, your contribution will go a long way toward helping our community. There are many ways to give. Consider signing up for a payroll deduction if your employer offers it, or organize a fundraiser at your office or in your community.
Big or small, every donation will make a positive difference in our community.
