Katherine Muse Wright and Robert Edward Boon were married at 4:00 p.m. March 2, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church.
Reverend Dr. Ronald L. Shive performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mary
Jeffress Wright and Loy Stephen Wright of Rocky Mount.
The groom is the son of Barbara Moize Boon of Burlington, and the late John Edward Boon.
Sophia Muse Holt of Elon, daughter of the bride, served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Jane Wright Chestnut of Ocracoke, sister of the bride, Catherine Boon Camacho, sistser of the groom, and Mary
Catherine Camacho, neice of the groom, both of Cumming, Ga.
Douglas Byron Boon of Burlington, brother of the groom, served as best man.
Groomsmen were Frank Stone Holt, IV of Elon, son of the bride, Stephen Jeffress Wright of San Francisco, Calif., brother of the bride, Dan Bryant Boon of Atlanta, Ga., brother of the groom.
Ushers were Robert Stephen Chestnut and Joseph Franklin
Chestnut both of Ocracoke, both nephews of the bride.
Christopher Lewis Camacho, Jr. of Cumming, Ga., nephew of the groom served as ring bearer.
A reception was held at Alamance Country Club.
Following a brief stay at the Umpstead and a honeymoon in Africa, the couple will live in Elon.
The bride graduated from Professional Children’s School in New York, N.Y. and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
She is employed by United Way of Alamance County.
The groom graduated from Cummings in Burlington and Appalacian State University in Boone.
He is employed by IBM.
On Sept. 16, 2012, an engagement shower was hosted by Sandra and Ronnie Allen in Roxboro.
On Oct. 17, 2012, an engagement party was hosted by Lara and Chris Wilson in Raleigh.
On Nov. 8, 2012, a bridal shower was hosted by Anne Powell and friends in Burlington.
On Jan. 19, 2013, an engagement party was hosted by Cathy and Chris Camacho in Cumming, Ga.
On Feb. 2, 2013 a cocktail buffet was hosted by Robin and Scotty Showerman and friends in Burlington.
On March 1, 2013, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by Barbara Boon and friends in Burlington.
