The Nash-Rocky Mount school board met Monday and approved a host of motions relating to the 2010-11 Child Nutrition Budget.

The board approved extensions for bakery, dispensed juice, vended snacks and chemical contracts, said Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools Director of Communications Sandy Drum.

The board extended the bid contracts, which were due to expire July 31.

Board members also approved a joint construction agreement between the city of Rocky Mount, Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools and the N.C. Department of Transportation in regard to facilitating future traffic flow on Old Mill Road outside of the new Rocky Mount High School, said Mark Strickland, special assistant for auxiliary services for the school district.
