Firefighters find body after battling blaze

RALEIGH— Authorities in Raleigh are investigating a house fire in which a body was found.

The  Raleigh Fire Department said one person was found dead in the house on the city's north side late Friday night.

The fire department said it received a call at 10:01 p.m. and found smoke visible from doors and windows. The fire was under control by 10:15 p.m.

Investigator Capt. Preston Gaster said the cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
