RALEIGH — An associate justice on the North Carolina Supreme Court is seeking another full eight-year term in 2014.
Justice Robin Hudson announced her re-election bid Thursday. She was on the Court of Appeals for six years before being elected to the state's highest court in 2006.
Hudson is a former private-practice attorney and assistant appellate defender formerly from Greensboro. She went to Yale University and the law school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Judicial races are officially nonpartisan. Hudson is one of three registered Democrats on the seven-member court.
The 61-year-old Hudson says a dozen former appellate court judges have endorsed her.
