Rocky Mount police apprehended a teen on gun- and drug-related charges Tuesday.
According to police reports, officers stopped Trayvon Markel Powell Moody on his bike for outstanding warrants, but Moody took off running. Officers said they found Moody hiding behind a car. Police said a loaded .40-caliber handgun and 1.6 grams of cocaine were found when officers took him into custody.
Moody, 18, was charged with felony possession of cocaine with the intent to sell and deliver, felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon. He was jailed in Nash County under a $13,000 secured bond.
