Four people were sent to the hospital Friday after a two-vehicle wreck on Sunset Avenue.
Rocky Mount police Cpl. Mike Lewis said the wreck occurred near the intersection of Sunset Avenue and Kandemor Lane. One of the vehicles flipped on its side, forcing officers to shut down both directions of Sunset Avenue for approximately 30 minutes.
“The driver of the SUV pulled into the path of the car and caused the collision,” Lewis said. “The driver will be cited for a safe movement violation.”
Four people were taken to Nash General Hospital following the crash. Their conditions are unknown.
