Authorities are asking the public for information about a Sunday night home invasion that left one man wounded.
Nash County Sheriff’s Capt. Pat Joyner said deputies responded just before 9 p.m. to a shooting on the 3800 block of Old White Oak Road. According to reports, a 21-year-old man was at the house with his 28-year-old girlfriend and a toddler when three men with bandanas over their faces forced their way through the door and ransacked the home.
Police said one of the suspects shot the man twice before the suspects fled in a small gray vehicle. The other two victims were not injured in the attack. The man was taken to Nash General Hospital then transferred to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, where he is listed in fair condition.
Joyner said robbery was the motive of the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call Nash County authorities at 459-4121.
