A 65-year-old Nash County man is in custody after a fatal shooting at his house.
Nash County sheriff’s Capt. Pat Joyner said the man called police at 2:07 p.m. to report the shooting at 7389 Cedar Grove School Loop Road. Joyner said Leasa Smith, 41,was found dead with a gunshot wound when deputies arrived. Joyner said the two lived together.
No charges have been filed, and the case is under investigation.

Ms. Smith also has a long list of trouble with the law. Between drugs, breaking and entering, and stealing she wasn't too innocent. I'm not saying she deserved it, but I'm sure there is more to the story.

yes she did. nc dept of corrections has a long list of convictions and prison stay for her.
what's the whole story? we might never know, but should know.

another shooting in nash county. this man was obviously wrong and needs to be dealt with in the court system. and, as reported, he had a record with the law for embezzlement in the 90's. what other factors played a part in this thing? shame someone didn't help her out of that situation--or maybe they did try but couldn't get it done.
