The Nash Health Care Volunteer Auxiliary will continue its Lights of Love tradition on Tuesday in the lobby of Nash General Hospital.

A special tree-lighting ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. and will include a reading of the names represented on the tree. The names of those honored also will be recorded in a special Book of Remembrance, which will be on display in the lobby.

Proceeds from the Lights of Love will benefit the new Pediatric Emergency Room.

“The Nash Health Care Volunteer Auxiliary has pledged $5,000 a year for the next three years to go to the Pediatric Emergency Room and help our hospital better serve the needs of our community’s children,” said Jackie Ward, auxiliary member and project organizer. “It is truly a beautiful event and we have had wonderful support from Nash Health Care personnel and the community.”

Lights can be purchased for $5 a piece in memory or honor of a loved one and placed on the Christmas trees in the hospital lobby, which will be on display throughout the holiday season.
