Two Rocky Mount men were accused of sex crimes over the weekend, police said.
Fonnell Parker was arrested early Friday afternoon after a 17-year-old girl told police the 31-year-old exposed his genitalia outside a convenience store on Fairview Road.
Parker fled the scene afterward, police said, and was later apprehended in a parking lot on Eastern Avenue. He was charged with indecent exposure and taken to Edgecombe County jail, where he was held under a $5,000 secured bond.
Authorities continue to investigate an unrelated sex crime reported early Saturday morning.
A 23-year-old woman told police a night club security guard, 41-year-old Kenneth Norman, raped her outside Club 252 on North Church Street.
The victim was treated at Nash General Hospital, police said.
Norman refuted the charges. Police are continuing to investigate and have not charged Norman in the incident.
