Police in Arizona this morning arrested one of three men wanted in connection to the Sept. 4 murder of a Northern Nash High School student.

Authorities continue to search for two other suspects accused in the shooting of 17-year-old Chavalis Boyd, found dead in a Rocky Mount house fire last month.

Phoenix police officers arrested 32-year-old Nathan Jones Friday morning. He is charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and first-degree burglary, authorities said. Police did not say what Jones was doing at the time of the arrest.

After extinguishing the fire at Boyd’s home on Silverleaf Road last month, firefighters found the teen dead in the house’s front bedroom. An autopsy conducted a few days later determined the teen had been shot and was dead before the fire.

Police arrested 21-year-old Quantisia Lushun Moss earlier this month and charged the Kenly woman with accessory after the fact for murder. Two other men men – Brian Carney, 20, and Corey Jermaine Lee, 32, both of Rocky Mount – are wanted in connection to the slaying.

Police put out reward posters Monday, offering $1,000 to anyone who knows where the men might be.

Investigators issued arrest warrants for the three suspects earlier this month after searching their homes, police said. Lee is wanted on charges of first-degree murder, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, first-degree burglary and arson.

Carney is wanted for first-degree murder, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and first-degree burglary.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact Twin County Crime Stoppers at 252-977-1111 or e-mail crimestoppers@rockymountnc.gov.
