Nash-Rocky Mount Public Schools’ Board of Education will hold a Community Conversation at 7 p.m. Monday at Fairview Elementary School.

The meeting will be led by school board members Evelyn Bulluck, Ann Edge and the Rev. Robert Bynum.

“We have not set an agenda as far as topics are concerned,” Bulluck, chairwoman of the school board, said. “We’re just going to come and listen to whatever people are going to say.”

Bulluck said that previous Community Conversations have not been well-
attended in the past, but that board members were encouraged to offer the forum for the first day of classes.

Fairview Middle School is located at 720 North Fairview Road.

Some school board members

Some school board members need to realize they are private citizens when not conducting school business. Going to RM High football scrimmages and getting on the field is not a good idea. Throwing your weight around and walking into the RM press box and sitting down does not look good. Usually, media people need those seats. If this member has been given permission by the school then, more power to him, by all means.
