Rocky Mount man dies in single-vehicle crash

A 20-year-old Rocky Mount man died Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash.

A N.C. Highway Patrol spokeswoman said Stephen Patrick Armstrong was driving west on N.C. 33 about 3 miles south of Princeville at a high speed. Armstrong crossed the center line, ran off the road into a ditch bank and overturned several times, the spokeswoman said. Armstrong was ejected from the vehicle.

It is unknown if alcohol was a factor in the 9:37 a.m. crash.
