Deputies arrest two, hunt another for crimes in parking lot
From Staff Reports
Friday, October 30, 2009
Responding to a tip e-mailed to Rocky Mount police, Nash County deputies on
Friday arrested two men accused of defrauding at least one woman in a
parking lot. A third suspect is still wanted.
Christopher Conner, 24, and Stacey Len Bryant, 35, were arrested and charged
with common law robbery and second degree kidnapping after allegedly forcing
a Rocky Mount woman to buy them gas. Police are still looking for Jamie
Bryant.
The men were brought to public attention by an alert sent by Rocky Mount
police, who had been looking into multiple reports of between one and three
men in an SUV defrauding women in area parking lots.
In one such case Wednesday evening, a woman told police said three men in a
black SUV pulled in front of her car, blocking it in a parking space as she
was waiting for her daughter outside Cracker Barrel. The driver asked her if
she had money he could use for gas, and the woman told him she had no cash.
A second man exited the SUV, the woman said, and told her to follow them to a
gas station. The second man got in the woman’s car, police said.
“Fearing that she may be harmed if she did not comply, she followed the SUV to
the Hess station on English Road while one of the suspects hid in the back
seat of her vehicle,” Capt. Laura Fahnestock said in a written statement.
“Once at the gas station, the victim used her debit card to purchase $20
worth of gas to put in the suspect’s vehicle.”
Conner, Stacey Bryant and Jamie Bryant are believed to be the men responsible
for the Cracker Barrel case.

Why not start blowing the horn without letup. You are in the middle of a place of business parking lot where people are in and out of all the time. I think someone would look to see why the horn is being blown.

Don't blame the paper....you can't get information if they want give it to you...You have to get the info from either RMPD, Nash or Edgecombe. I know from experience that they will return the TV Station phone calls alot quicker than they will call the paper!!!!!!!
