Police step up training

When James Moore became Rocky Mount’s police chief in 2012, the department’s training budget had been cut by nearly $10,000 in six years. But under Moore’s leadership with support from the City Council, that training budget has nearly tripled – a positive sign, he said, for the department and the city.
