An 18-year-old is on the run following the Tuesday night fatal shooting of a fellow teenager.

First-degree murder warrants have been obtained against Johnathan Lamont Hargrove in connection with the shooting death of Jose Antonio Martinez, 17. Hargrove has not been located.

Rocky Mount police said officers responded around 10:45 p.m. to an aggravated assault in progress on the 200 block of Jackson Street. According to a press release, Martinez was dead when officers arrived and Hargrove was identified as the assailant a short time later.

OH WELL

Another one for Word Tab. and The Faith Base Community to put in the ground, seems like that's all they do or have done since they took over cleaning up Rocky Mount after that shooting at their church. Sounds just like what the police and the city council does, "Let them kill each other and we will come in and pick up the dead oh! schitt is that what they mean when they say "Clean up Rocky Mount?

About time you got it right Telegram!

It's about time you posted the proper thing that happened!! It was a cold-blooded murder that was committed. Not an assault! Did the telegram finally get permission from the mayor and city council to call this a murder instead of an assault????
