Putting it before the public is the only fair way. However I don't know how much it will help. It will depend upon the ratio of voters who would turn out. I can't see an agreement to allow the voters to have an opportunity to vote. It would be too much of a gamble for some on the council who are already counting the opportunities it may afford them. Even if it is put before a vote we must look at past elections for some members on the council and the constituants they call themselves representing. I don't give up hope but I suspect it is already a done deal.

Downtown Civic Center

Be interesting to see how much downtown property is owned by council members. Just rubbing their hands together waiting to sell out at inflated prices. Bet they are pushing for a downtown civic center!
