Time for vote by the People

The RM City Council thought they held all the power in the annexation struggle - I guess not! This vote is going to be a terrible embarrassment for the city. A small group of dedicated folks perservere against the government! Thank you NC Legislators!!

Why spend more City Taxpayer Money?

I think the city pursuing this annexation is a waste of time and taxpayer money. I suppose it's good for the printing businesses to make up all these petitions, but with an outcome of veto fairly certain the taxpayers that pay for these petitions and the cost of mailing over 700 of these out is a waste of money that could be used for better purposes within the city.

You have to realize that the Oak Level area is completely against being annexed. They financed their own attorney and have kept the annexation from happening for 3 years. Oak Level only has to get 60% of the homeowners to say they don't want to be annexed and the deal is over.

City officials - don't waste money - move on.
