MONROE — A woman has been arrested after deputies say she led them on a two-county chase with three children in her SUV.
Union County deputies say they tried to pull over the speeding driver of a Chevy Tahoe early Wednesday morning.
The chase continued for 23 miles and reached speeds of up to 90 mph. Deputies in Anson County finally stopped the Tahoe by deflating its tires.
Police say they found 37-year-old Lavett Dianne Saddler behind the wheel. Three children, ages 8, 3 and 7 weeks, were also in the SUV.
No one was hurt. Saddler is charged with misdemeanor child abuse, felony speeding to elude and multiple traffic offenses, and it wasn’t known if she had an attorney.
