RALEIGH — Raleigh-Durham International Airport will debut a new television service for travelers later this year.

The new service beginning in November will allow travelers to see a mix of national and local programming rather than a single cable news channel.

The ClearVision service will blend sports, music, entertainment and news from CBS, NBC, The Wall Street Journal and the Tennis Channel. Local television stations programming is expected to be offered.

Jim Cullinan with Clear Channel Outdoor says the company is talking with other airports it hopes they will follow Raleigh-Durham’s lead.

Airport director Michael Landguth says the service is designed to provide travelers with information quickly before they board planes. The airport usually has been offering MSNBC.
