BUTNER — The parents of a juvenile inmate who failed to return to a facility in Butner after a home visit have turned him in.

A statement from the Department of Public Safety said the parents turned in the juvenile at the Robeson County jail around 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Spokeswoman Diana Kees said the juvenile identified only as Ryan L. was to be returned to custody at a Division of Adult Correction and Juvenile Justice detention center.

The juvenile was reported missing after he failed to return to the C.A. Dillion Youth Development Center.
