RALEIGH — North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory will be out of the spotlight and out of the state this week as his first year in office nears its close.
McCrory’s office said Monday that the governor and his wife, Ann, are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary this week away from North Carolina. The location wasn’t disclosed publicly.
The trip means Lt. Gov. Dan Forest will be acting governor, in keeping with the state constitution.
McCrory was sworn in as governor on Jan. 5.
