ELIZABETHTOWN— A Bladen County man is in jail without bond after authorities say he killed his 7-month-old daughter.

Juan Andres Hernandez, 20, is charged with murder.

Bladen County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Rodney Hester said someone called authorities about 6 p.m. on Aug. 30 to report the baby was in cardiac arrest. Hester said the baby as taken from the home by her father and maternal grandmother to Bladen County Hospital.

The baby was transferred to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, where she was placed on life support, Hester said she was pronounced dead at 6:45 a.m. Sunday. He said an autopsy showed the baby had suffered head trauma.

Hernandez was charged Wednesday. It wasn’t known if he had an attorney.

Some people just aren't fit to be a parent

Why someone would do this to a baby, I just can't understand. I bet the baby wouldn't stop crying and he was trying to watch tv or play video games, and the baby was low on his priority list so he just snapped and hit the poor baby to make it stop crying. *smdh*
