HENDERSONVILLE— A North Carolina doctor has voluntarily surrendered her license after police say she broke into a neighboring medical office to continue seeing patients.
The Asheville Citizen-Times reports that the North Carolina Medical Board received a letter from Dr. Felicia Brabham of Hendersonville giving up her license to practice medicine. Brabham did not have a listed telephone number and could not be reached for comment Friday.
Police this month arrested the 59-year-old physician on felony charges including breaking and entering.
Hendersonville Police Sgt. Nathan Smith says Brabham moved her medical records, lab supplies and even her cat into the neighboring office in her professional building. That office space is leased by a South Carolina-based plastic surgery practice and only used about once a month.
