DURHAM – North Carolina authorities are searching for a gunman who they say walked into a Durham tire store and shot five people, killing two and leaving three others wounded before fleeing the scene.
The Durham County Sheriff’s Office says the shooting happened Friday afternoon at JT Tire.
Investigators say the gunman was described by witnesses as a six-foot-tall black male wearing a bright colored T-shirt and with a tattoo on the left side of his face. He was seen fleeing the area driving a silver sedan.
Deputies say the three people wounded in the shooting were taken to local hospitals. Information about their conditions and identities was not immediately available.
