Two Rocky Mount teenagers who have been missing for a week were found Tuesday evening in Florence, S.C.
Kaleb Michael Joyner, 17, and Barry Wayne Sutton, 18, were last seen by a family friend walking south on Interstate 95. The teens’ families elicited support from friends and strangers in hopes of finding the boys safe. Police also issued a national alert hoping, law enforcement officers would locate the teens.
The teens were found Tuesday night and charged with third-degree arson and giving false information to police, according to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office. They are jailed but their bond amounts are unknown.
“They are safe in South Carolina,” Joyner’s grandfather Bill Stancil said. “That is all that matters.”
