Air Force Reserve Airman Stuart A. McCleary has graduated from basic training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.

The eight-week program included training on the service’s mission and organization, military customs and courtesies, physical conditioning, rifle marksmanship and human relations.

He is the son of Vanessa and Anthony McCleary of New Castle Court, Rocky Mount.

McCleary graduated in 2009 from Nash Central High School.
