PFC Christian Blake Hill graduated Sept. 29 from Army basic training at Fort Jackson, S.C.

The 11-week program included classroom and field training on the service’s mission, history, tradition and core values, physical fitness, basic combat skills, weapons and marksmanship, chemical warfare, map reading, field tactics and basic first aid.

He will be attending advanced individual training at Fort Huachuca, Ariz.

Hill is a 2011 graduate of West Carteret High School.

He is the son of James and Leslie Hill, the brother of Samantha Hill, and the grandson of Walter and Anna Weaver, all of Rocky Mount.
