Actually

History has proven, as far as roads are concerned, if you build them they will come.

Though City government has had nothing to do with the planning, the new roads will spur the economy and create new building and increased traffic to Rocky Mount. Nothing backwards about it.

If local government doesn't stifle developement, the economy should improve with these new roads. That's a big if.

WHATS UP ?

Rky. Mt. is slowly dying as a 'city on the rise' yet everywhere you go , new bridges and roads . Somebody got their pockets lined with kick backs on these needless projects . Nice roads and bridges do not encourage business growth that starts with honest city government . Get people wanting to support Rky. Mt. first then worry about the dumb a** roads . Everthing in Rky. Mt. is backwords .
