Firefighters from the Castalia and Red Oak fire departments took about 30 minutes to extinquish a blaze in a trailer and storage building just before 1 p.m. Thursday in the 9800 block of Cooper Road in Castalia.

No one was injured in the fire, but a 1965 Chevrolet Corvette undergoing restoration inside the storage building was destroyed.

Firefighters were able contain the fire before it spread to the property owner’s home about 50 feet from the blaze. They were able to save the trailer, but the storage building and car were destroyed.
