Englewood Elementary School students evacuated the school Wednesday morning after a gas line ruptured on the school’s campus.
School officials said the evacuation was initiated shortly after 9 a.m. as a precaution, and students were safely moved from the school to Englewood Presbyterian Church.
Fire officials repaired the line, inspected the building and cleared it for students and staff to return to the school around 9:30 a.m.
Administrators and staff since have moved the students back to the school building.
Parents received a phone notification message to inform them of the incident, school officials said.
