Griffin leads Braswell in Nash Sheriff’s race

Preliminary results of the Democratic primary for Nash County sheriff’s race places candidate Stanley “Big Griff” Griffin in the lead.

According to the N.C. Board of Elections, 12 precincts are reporting and Griffin is carrying 57 percent of the votes. Fellow political newcomer Gene Braswell has 983 votes compared to 1,301 votes for Griffin.
