After a long work week that required me to travel, I had the joy of joining my blended family for our first "Staycation."
As the families in today's society are diminishing, my blended family is growing." My sister (Samanthia and Lamatric Phillips) hosted our family's first camp-out on their property.
As a family, we are all so busy going 100 miles per hour each day. This is a couple, along with a strong family background, who is determined to keep our blended family together. We are all from different family backgrounds.
They hosted at least 50 individuals for this family occasion.
These are young people who believe that family is the most important and ongoing of a connection between keeping a family together.
We looked around and their were almost 10 tents in their yards with family members ranging from 1 year to 75 years of age." This is a must for the family to survive today.
We were from Greensboro; Whitakers; Rocky Mount; Omaha, Neb.; and other various places of family members. Let us commend the importance of family time. We will keep this family tradition up as long as possible.
Our hats and sincere love go to the Phillips family.
Our family motto is that a family that prays together stays together.
God bless the family of today!
