Buck Leonard Association presents first Julian Fenner Lawrence award

The Buck Leonard Association for Sports & Human Enrichment presented its first Julian Fenner Lawrence Community Service Award to George Birth on Feb. 26 at the Imperial Arts & Science Center.

Employed by the City of Rocky Mount, Lawrence was known for his jovial yet effective way of working with youth of the community.
