Campaign collects coats for kids

The Leadership Rocky Mount Class of 2009-10 is collecting new and gently used
coats, hats and gloves to keep area school children warm this winter during
their annual Coats for Kids Drive.
From now until November 24, new and gently used coats, hats and gloves will be
accepted through Nov. 24 in all children’s sizes at the following drop-off
sites:
- Boddie-Noell Enterprises, 1021 Noell Lane, Rocky Mount
- All Rocky Mount Fire stations: 101 George Street (Station 1), 824 South Grace
Street (Station 2), 900 South Winstead Avenue (Station 3), 2054 Fenner
Road (Station 4), 900 Springfield Road (Station 5), 105 Rowe Drive
(Station 6), 9914 NC 4 Highway (Station 7), 404 South Church Street
(Life Safety).
- Edgecombe Community College Rocky Mount Campus, 225 Tarboro St. Rocky Mount
- Frederick E. Turnage American Red Cross, 326 S. Franklin Street, Rocky Mount
- Tri-County Industries, 1250 Atlantic Avenue, Rocky Mount
- Nash Community College, 522 North Old Carriage Road, Rocky Mount
- Nash County Tax Office, 120 W. Washington St. Suite 2058, Nashville
- The Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce (Train Station, 2nd Floor, Downtown
Rocky Mount)
- Sherwin-Williams, 1280 Independence Drive, Rocky Mount
Organizers said the community’s support is needed through coat donations and
monetary donations. Checks may be mailed to Sherry Johnson, Rocky Mount Area
Chamber of Commerce, P. O. Box 392, Rocky Mount, NC 27802-0392 and made
payable to the Rocky Mount Area Chamber of Commerce.
